Getting Connected with the Hav0c Network
Welcome to the setup and connection guide for Hav0c. Here you can find all the necessary files and instructions needed to jump in and start playing on our realms. Just follow the instructions below and we’ll see you in-game!
Let’s Get Started!
Hav0c currently operates two realms: a 3.3.5a WotLK realm, and a 2.4.3 Burning Crusades realm. Select which realm you would like to get started with below. You can always come back later, but bear in mind you will most likely need a second installation of WoW at the appropriate patch to play on both realms.
Hav0c TBC [Phoenix] Connection Guide
Step 1: Download the World of Warcraft TBC Client.
To play on our TBC Realm, you need the 2.4.3 client. Unfortunately, this client version can no longer be obtained through the official Blizzard downloader. Fortunately, we are able to offer you the use of a torrent file which will provide the full client to you, no installation necessary.
» Download enUS Full Client (2.4.3) – WinXP, 7 [uTorrent]
Alternatively, if you already have a lower version of TBC (prior to 2.4.3), you can patch up your client manually. Filefront hosts all of the official patches here.
Step 2: Download Launcher – Realmlist.
The Hav0c WoW launcher is the fastest way to set your realmlist and get connected to Gryphon. It also provides a safe and easy way to clear your cache as well as see the latest news on what is happening at Hav0c. To use the launcher, simply download it from the link below, and extract to your desktop (you may need a rar archiving tool such as WinRAR). Run the application, and point it to your WoW directory.
» Download the Hav0c Phoenix Launcher.
Unfortunately, our launcher is only compatible with the Windows platform. Mac users (or those that do not want to use the launcher) will need to set the realmlist.wtf file in the WoW directory to match the two lines below:
set realmlist gryphon.hav0c.com:3725
set patchlist gryphon.hav0c.com:3725
Step 3: Create an Account on Phoenix (TBC).
The last thing you need to do is create an account with us on the Phoenix realm. Use this information to log in on the main screen of your client.
Downgrading from 3.3.5a+.
Due to the update to Cataclysm, downgrading the patch version of your client is no longer possible through the repair tool. The only way to obtain a 2.4.3 TBC client is through the means provided above.
Hav0c WotLK [Gryphon] Connection Guide
Step 1: Download the World of Warcraft WotLK Client.
To play on our server, you will need to have the full World of Warcraft client installed. If you do not have it installed, you can use the links provided below to download the full 3.3.5a client. No further installation or patching required! Please select the version you want to use from the options below. There are no significant differences between the enUS and enGB versions; however it is generally the case where enGB is used by users outside of North America. You do not need to further install or update the client after downloading therefore when the download is finished, please proceed directly to Step 3.
» Download enUS Full Client (3.3.5a) – WinXP, 7
» Download enGB Full Client (3.3.5a) [Unavailable]
Step 2: Download the Patches (3.3.5a).
The version of the client that our server accepts is 3.3.5a; therefore you will need to download the necessary patches in order to bring your client version to match. The links below lead to the downloading of a torrent file that will contain all of the patches needed to update a regular WotLK client to the needed version. If you are currently on an intermediate version, you can configure your chosen torrent application to download only the patches that you need. Please select the link based on your client’s locale as the patches are incompatible with other locales.
This server provides custom content to its players. As a result, you will need to download the DIF addon in order to properly see this content.
» Download enUS Patches – 3.0.1 » 3.3.5a
» Download enGB Patches – 3.2.0 » 3.3.5a
» Download DIF Addon
Step 3: Download Our WoW Launcher.
» Download the Hav0c Gryphon Launcher.
Unfortunately, our launcher is only compatible with the Windows platform. Mac users (or those that do not want to use the launcher) will need to set the realmlist.wtf file in the locale directory of the Main/Data directory to match the two lines below:
set realmlist gryphon.hav0c.com
set patchlist gryphon.hav0c.com
Step 4: Create an Account on Gryphon (WotLK).
The last thing you need to do is create an account with us on the Gryphon realm. Use this information to log in on the main screen of your client.
Downgrading from 4.x+.
Due to the update to Cataclysm, downgrading the patch version of your client is no longer possible through the repair tool. Instead, you will need to remove and reinstall the WotLK expansion. If this does not bring you back to 3.0.1, you may need to remove the entire installation and start fresh.
