Hav0c Network Rules and Regulations

NOTICE IN REGARDS TO THE RULES
We (the Hav0c staff) reserve the right to change both the forum and the server rules at any time and without any advance notice. Because of that, each rule break case is treated individually and takes into account the rules that were being enforced at the time of infraction. Should a rule change happen anytime after the verdict was chosen, the decision remains final and the punishment will remain the same.

Ignorance of the rules is no excuse.

NO HACKS
Hav0c strictly prohibits any kind of hacks (teleportation, spell, speed, language… hacks). People found using hacks will be banned permanently on sight. No warnings or excuses!

NO BUG ABUSE
Emulators aren’t perfect so there are bugs. But if you abuse those bugs to gain an advantage over other players it is wrong. If you get caught abusing bugs, it is up to GM to decide whether to give you a warning or punish you with a temporary ban, depending on the seriousness of the bug you abused. It is your duty as a player to report any serious abusable bugs you find.

PLAY FAIR

  • Don’t steal someone else’s loot.
  • Don’t steal someone else’s kills.
  • Don’t swear.
  • Don’t make personal attacks or insults toward anyone. Debate and discussion is acceptable, but be mature about it.
  • English only in all chat channels.
  • Hav0c is a religious and culture-rich community. Respect the differences you may find, and don’t force your own opinions on others.

GAME MASTER REQUESTS

  • Be polite and respectful to the GMs. They dedicate their free time and resources so you can enjoy the game. Disrespecting a GM can result in a ban. We are here to help.
  • Don’t spam conversations and whispers with GMs. Be patient and wait for them to answer. Keep in mind that you are not the only one trying to get help.
  • Don’t ask for personal favors like free gold, or levels, or other similar gifts. If you wish to have these things, try donating to Hav0c.
  • Don’t ask about becoming a GM in-game. If we are seeking additions to the staff, it will be advertised.

CUSTOM AREA RULES
Hav0c offers several custom areas unique to the server that you won’t find anywhere else. Please respect the rules that govern them.

  • HYJAL

    • Level requirement: 50-70
    • PvP is ALLOWED.

  • SECRET COW LEVEL

    • Level requirement: 50+ (Portals in Hyjal and Quel’Thalas)
    • PvP is ALLOWED.

  • AIRFIELD

    • Level requirement: 10-60 (Only players level 10 to 60 are allowed in the Airfield zone. The Airfield zone is defined as being the whole upper portion of Dun Morough which is not accessible by foot using general means.)
    • PvP is NOT ALLOWED.

  • QUEL’THALAS

    • Level requirement: 50-80
    • PvP is NOT ALLOWED. Same-faction Dueling is authorized.

  • GUILD HEADQUARTERS

    • Guild HQs are considered safe-zones and will not be raided.
    • Guild HQs are meant only to be used by the guild they were created for.
    • Further information about Guild HQs can be found in the FAQ section under Guild HQs.

ACCOUNT REGULATIONS

  • Using two accounts simultaneously is forbidden! – this was abused to boost your own honour, this is not tolerated at all, you are risking a ban.
  • We do not move characters from one account to another!
  • Abusing arena a.k.a wintrading is forbidden – Exploitation includes, but is not limited to: Losing on purpose for any reason whatsoever, resetting your team so that you can continue to give points to a specific opponent or any other intended reason that may give you or your team an unfair advantage.
  • You are the only one responsible for your account. If something were to happen to it while it is shared with another person it would be your personal problem since you took the risk in the first place. – stories like “my brother/friend/dog logged into my account and did bad things” won’t work.
  • If you leave and give your account and characters to someone else to play with, you give up on the ownership of your account. – you cannot demand the account to be given back to you were you to return.
  • Don’t use names similar to the ones of the GMs for your characters. – this is to avoid confusion between people and prevent scamming. A person caught doing this will be either forced to rename the character or be banned according to what he/she has done with it.
  • Do not impersonate anyone. – This is basically the same as the previous rule but for normal players, don’t impersonate them either.
  • Do not use colors in chat to create fake System Messages – Do not use the known coloured text macro to create ‘fake’ [System Message] texts or other such server messages in any chat as that falls under impersonating a GM or creating confusion.
  • If the staff finds out you’re harassing regular players with the claim that they’re GMs, you will receive a kick, mute, and/or a ban.

OTHER MISCELLANEOUS RULES

  • Hav0c does not condone the use or discussion of piracy or illegally copied software in any way, shape or form.
  • Do not advertise other private servers anywhere on Hav0c.
  • Staff have the final say – If you are told by a staff member to stop doing something, you cannot claim that it was not stated in the rules. It is impossible and impractical to list every rule possible. Attempting to circumvent a rule will result in a more severe warning. Also, the determination of things such as begging, flaming, spam, whining, etc. are dependent on the mod, not the users. Any complaints involving attempts to find loop holes in the rules and complaining that it was not explicitly stated in the rules will not be acted upon.

If you know someone is willfully and intentionally breaking one of the above rules, take screenshots. Help us keep Hav0c a fun and fair place to play.
